Just kidding. You are welcome to write me no matter where you call home or what you do. Where you live or what you do for a living does not define WHO you are.   I do love being around other creative poeple.  I also love hearing from the British.   It is my heritage as well. My mother was English and my father Scottish.  My passion and life may be writing but some of my most memorable moments were spent with friends in England.

NOTE: Sorry.  Most of these sites have not been updated for over a year so please bear with me. Also, I've been away from here as well for even longer. Please forgive me if you've written me a note and I haven't gotten back to you. please try writing me again at seattleshirl@clearwire.net and included something like 'saw your profile on care2' in header.   News: On my various blogs, I'll be writing on many issues including women rights and environmental concerns. I am accepting submissions for Healing Waters Journal future issues (send to email above or to healingwaterspress@gmail.com, NOT here).  I plan to start up the journal again if enough submissions are received.  Poetry, short stories, and articles about miracle consciousness (ACIM), spiritual or environmental topics would all be considered. Writings on starseeds, walk-ins and Indigo children are also acceptable since that is part of who we are! Also if you fall into one of these categories, please join me at the yahoo group WEECreate (listed as wee_create). It is a writing community for the spiritually 'different' or is that spiritually 'challenged'. LOL  (I have been very inactive with WEE but would very much like to reactive it.  Please write if you feel so inclined. )

This is the theme poem I wrote for the EarthDays 1995 event. The poem was read on stage at the event held April, 1995 in Bethlehem, PA. I also performed it at the Town Hall in Glastonbury, England in early 1999.

It is written from the point of view of the suffering mother earth. She cries for her many wounded children and asks all to join in healing her. 

The below poem is presented here as previously published in several journals with minor changes.

The All Inclusive We
I know not your face
yet we are brothers
on the same ancestral tree.
I know not your name
yet we are warriors
fighting for the same
seemingly
unreachable dream.
I know not your soul
yet here we are entwined
together, in the same
Earth vine, each feeling
hopeless, just waiting...
wondering if this veil
which separates
and hides our kinship
will lift
to reveal...
all the fibers
in...
the all inclusive we.
