A few photos of mine from March, 2003 in Portland, Oregon when my family and I joined a couple of friends and several thousand "hippies" as part of a national movement to protest the upcoming Iraq Oil War. It was the best and worst of times...
Before the march
Daughter Angela, Wife Marilyn and friends Signe and Russell.
This is Portland, Oregon---what can I say?
Part of the crowd
The crowd was estimated to be from a few thousand to as many as 14,000. It was most likely somewhere in between toward the high side.
Taking it to the streets.
A professional photographer (Russ) capturing an amateur one.
One of Russ's photos with me in it taking the previous picture of him.
I think most everyone in the crowd knew that the war was inevitable, but we had to be there, we had to do this.
