Bohinj is a beautiful country in the upper Sava Bohinjka Valley and it indents deeply in the heart of the Julian Alps. In the valley, surrounded with cliffs of the Julian peaks, lies the Lake of Bohinj (523 m). Bohinj with its lake is one of the most beautiful climatic resorts and centre for winter sports - otherwise it is also the starting point for numerous mountain and climbing tours in the Julian Alps, and the nearest and easiest entry in the Triglav National Park. Triglav National Park is distiquished by its vivacious limestone mountain groups, deeply cut valleys, its crystalline limpid untamed rivers, glacial lakes, varigated Alpine flora and rich fauna.
Thank you for posting the pictures of the amazing countryside in Slovenia. I should definitely visit Bohinj the next time I visit my family in Croatia.
