Although Glastonebury is wonderful it is Stonehenge with Avebury Henge that is the heart of England for they were there long time before man was what we considered civelized. Having said that this pics are wonderful thanks for sharing.

"Ammonites are extinct members of the Cephalopod class. Modern members include nautilus, squid and octopus. They first appeared during the Silurian Period (435 million to 410 million years ago) and were abundant and widespread in the seas of the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods (175 million to 65 million years ago). What a place. There really is some kind of aura there that I'd never experienced before. Something indescribable. It just feels right. The picture that looks like a seashell at the chalice well. I think it's probably a seashell. If you've not been, you have to try to go.

i have only been to the festival, and it's not the best/easiest time to visit the Tor. Thankyou for sharing these pics. It truly is a magical and spiritual area to be, and i always feel a calmness from the earth there, even during the sometimes hectic festival background.
