The "Grand Dame" of all animals that I have ever known. 'Jabber' was so smart that it seemed like there was nothing that she couldn't figure out. (I swear she was on the verge of speech.) It would not have surprised me in the least if her IQ was higher than mine. In addition, watching her raise her litter taught our entire family something about the meaning of parenthood. And until Jabber, I never knew that an animal could have a sense of humor, but she had one of the sharpest wits that I've ever run across, whether in man or beast! No lioness in the wilds of Africa ever had more style than did our truly missed, Jabberwocky.
