This program consists on the need of a culture of conservation of the wild populations of the Bottlenose Dolphin in Terminos Lagoon, in the yucatan Peninsula. The Mexican government invited me to be their consultant and I traveled there to start the programs. Local fishermen received a workshop where they were instructed on the dangers of the interactions wild dolphin-human. Some general facts on behavior, anatomy, physiology, and ecology were as well reviewed. A local wildlife center got help on the management and husbandry of monkeys and crocodiles, and some surveys for the selection of a wild dolphin sanctuary were done.
