"...The first photos were of her after she had been "bought" and we loaded her in the back of a pick-up truck. We weren't sure of the best way to flip her over at that point, but managed to with about 3-4 guys helping. She had a spear hole in her neck (you can see it in the close-up). One of the rescuers was a chef at Atlantis and started making phone calls. The blonde lady in black looking in the truck is the dolphin trainer there who then called the vet, She did a quick look over and determined she was female, around 200 lbs. and about 30-50 years old. Luckily she was still in decent shape and would be able to recover.
The next photos are of our tour of the Atlantis rehab. They were so nice to allow us to visit her. They said that she would be released in maybe 1-2 months after observation and some R&R. Not that the lady who paid her ransome wanted it (not in the least), but Atantis did state that it is not their policy to reimburse the people for their money spent to rescue them. I hope the Bahamians get this message too, as no one wants to encourage them to be caught just so that Atantis will pay for them..."
