Despite international pressure, citizen awareness and efforts made by tourists and concerned residents, the Sea Turtle slaughter continues in the Bahamas. In August 9th, 2008, another Sea Turtle was brought into the facility. The animal, a young female, was captured at around 1:00 PM and was left on the back of a truck until 5:00 when she was finally released. She had minor injuries, just a few scratches, on both pectoral fins. Once she hit the water she rocketed to open sea. Please sign this petition!
