Actual article in the Pony Express showing that Yosemite Ahwahnichis were Paiutes not Miwoks. Miwoks were docile. Yet if you go Yosemite National Park the signs say the original Yosemite Natives were Miwoks, which is incorrect. This is not the only time the Pony Express wrote that Paiutes were the original Indians of Yosemite. The U.S. Park Service is giving the public the wrong information.
