Cliffhanging, Repelling, Abseiling-- whatever you call it. This is in a place called Wilderness. The girls and I swam through rapids at this river, then hiked up the cliff, hooked up a rope and abseiled down the side of it. TOP LEFT: Aerial shot of me going down. That middle, brown strip is the river-- 200 ft. below. Imagine walking horizontally backwards into this! TOP RIGHT: me hanging still about half the way down. I was paying so much attention to making sure I was doing everything right with the rope and everything, that I didnt even notice the waterfall right next to me! I heard them yelling from above, "Houri! Stop! Look around you!" and suddenly there it was... BOTTOM: Another aerial shot. In this one you can more easily judge the distance, and you can also see the canoes as they paddle up to catch you when you get to the river. This definately was one of my favorite days of adventure. It was a very tiring day, but i mean, it was so beautiful-- like something out of a fairytale.
