These photos are in Zululand. We've left the transkei--home of the Xhosas and Pondo people, and have gone further north.
Left: Me (yes, houri) bathing (yes! bathing!!) I know it looks like something out of the flintstones, but this is a zulu mud bath. AKA: an excuse to cover yourself in rust and mud and walk around naked while the sun bakes it on your skin. Then you rub it off, and it takes all the grime and dead skin off with it. Aside from actually working, it's really fun. Plus, you get to walk around naked!!!:)
Right: At the beach in Gingindlovu. This is another one of my favorite pics, cuz it was taken on my favorite day in Africa. I was just feeling so laid back, and the environment was so beautiful. If you could see my dreadlocks, this picture would be perfect. Notice the cows in the background-- on the beach!! No people, just cows.
