A crowd of Hobo's gathered round cheered as this man cut off my long hair - in his public return to working as a stylist. (At Baloney Joe's on Burnside, 1987 or 1988) That year he began cutting hair on NW 21st. Cheers to your successful recovery! Many recovery stories begin with gestures of trust, and a hearty welcome back to one's past self. This was really a fun day for me - I knew he could make it.
