MAKE LOVE NOT WAR WITH DANDELIONS!
They are beautiful bursts of sunshine energy - nature's guerrilla rebels against the dull green conformity of useless, energy wasting, over -managed monoculture lawns.
Baby dandelion leaves make nutritious greens - very high in vitamins.
Dried leaves and roots make a detoxifying tea - helping us with one of the most serious threats to health these days.
Dried roots can also be ground and roasted to make a tasty coffee substitute.
The flower tops can be fried in pancakes and made into wine.
And of course what other flower is so much fun for kids?
Now my terrible confession: once I pulled up some dandelions that someone was trying to grow on purpose - they don't grow that easily in the tropics - and worst of all someone else got blamed for it. Sorry Robert, sorry Jeannette. The ironic thing is I love them - and now I know better!
