North Seattle // Ratings (out of 10): Cleanliness: 6 –weedy ; Swimmibility: 8 –must stay inside ropes ; Comfort: 8 –lower 70’s ; Privacy: 4 –popular beach ; Restrooms: 3 –I’ve seen cleaner ; Overall: 7 ; Extras: A raft and two diving boards. Right on the Burke-Gilman Trail. // This beach is a lot of fun. Anywhere there is a raft and diving boards, I’m sure to have a good time. Like all the beaches on Lake Washington, this one has lifeguards so the real fun starts after they leave at 7pm. Parks and Recreation cut down the weeds in the swimming area, so that is a BIG plus. Sometimes though, there is quite a bit of weed "debris" rolling in on the surface from the boat-made waves.
