I photographed these little guys in the southend of Jefferson County right near where I used to work. Not long ago, this was all farm land; now it's being converted to industrial usage. Pretty sad, it's some beautiful country out that way.
The family who owned them used to have lots of quarter horses, but when they built a highway right through their back yard, there wasn't enough land for all of them. They had to sell the horses and focus on smaller animals like sheep, goats, and these little guys here. I hope they're doing OK. ...Nice folks.
