I used to live in a wooded area in which there were plants that I believe were identical to this one you refer to as a pitcher plant..only we called them Lady slippers. They were endangered I believe and only were found in fairly deep woods, never in the open. Do you think they might be the same? Thanks for your consideration and best regards, Anne
