From left to right: Hermit Thrush that actually sings (gifted to me by folks at the front desk of the ranger station I worked at last summer), sitting in a hand made 'Henry M. Jackson Wilderness' mug (gifted by my wilderness supervisor). Green Man wine glass & Herne/Cernunos cup, both purchased at the Five Points pagan shop my first night in Olympia (the owner helped me find a place to stay and a restuarant with good veggie food). Hand-carved Elk from Russia, purchased at Traditions Fair Trade Cafe (Dick, the owner, is a saint and a fair trade activist). Button with Picasso's Don Quixote - this also became my first tatoo...Don Quixote, for me, represents having your adventures in real life instead of just reading about them, fighting for what's right (even if people try to tell you it's hopeless), and living out your dreams (even if some people laugh). You can't really see it in this photo, but below the button is a wonderful watercolor of a dancing tree painted and gifted to me by my Canadian friend Renee (she stayed with me for a few days last spring). Horned God statue, with my ranger badge at his feet. Frank Woll's "Raven before Sun". Treebeard, with a little yellow bird on his head, an Alabama Green Party button, and a sign asking us to plant native trees (Treebeard speaks occasionally - my favorite is when he rumbles "DON'T BE HASTY"). At Treebeard's feet is the coffee cup I carried around the ranger station last summer; it has a black bear attached. At far right a geoduck (pronounced 'gooey duck' smile) pokes his head in - he is the official mascott for Evergreen State College.
