We lost 7 more pine trees this year, this time to pine beetles. We are still having to clean up all the dead pine brush and rotten limbs left from all those lost in the ice storm. We have been frantically burning up what we can pf these nesting sites before spring in the hopes of stopping these beetles from killing any more of our beautiful trees. Although we appreciate the lumber they have generously given us, preventing us from having to buy lumber harvested from living trees, we have lost far too many and don't want to lost any more. The biggest one in that pile is 24" across and 5'6" around at the widest point.
