shape straight traditional wood

The final shape is about finished.The wood I am using is Red Alder(western alder).Not the traditional Honoki but similar in physical properties.Somewhat harder,therefore somewhat harder to work with,but dry and fairly straight grained.Also has a pleasant color(sort of brownish red).Should be pretty when finished.
