I  have a lot on my plate this year as I become more interested in getting back to proactive lifestyle.

A big one for me outside of global warming is prisoners rights. There is a better way. I recently became aware of a full fledged prison riot here in New Castle Indiana. It is located about 2 1/2 hours away from Ft Wayne just outside Indianapolis.

It is run for profit by a privatized group called the Geo Group. The riot broke out due to prisoners being sent from AZ here and the prison not allowing the prisoners rights.

They shouldn't have to rise up to get the basics.

As I see it, there is no reason why prisoners can't work and provide while doing time.

They should be aloud college without any fees. Lets face it, ignorance is bliss until you walk through the gates into the real world and try to get a job with a prison background.

Prison dorms should be outlawed. As many prisoners as we have it would seem that we could build one big  prison comunity that could be mostly self supporting. Sew their own clothing, grown their own food, farm their own meat, bake their own breads, It's endless. Domesticate them instead of instatutionalize them.
