I'm in Sylva, NC and I'm the founder of SEASCAT, a Supportive Environment for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse & Trauma.  We're incorporated in NC and working on filing our 501(C)3.  We have a group here on Care2.  We're working on presenting educational workshops on the issues of adult survivors of child abuse in the western NC area.  Please contact us at seascat@gmail.com to learn more.  You can also learn more about us at http://www.orgsites.com/nc/seascat/index.html.

I wanted to add that our website is up at www.seascat.org. Please check it out. Our educational workshop can be downloaded in all browser's (that my web designer knows about) and we encourage you to watch it and share it. We'd like to get all 'helping professionals' to see it and learn about the issues of adult survivors of child abuse.

We're also looking into housing opportunities almost anywhere between Asheville and Cullowhee, if anyone knows of anything. We have adult survivors who are struggling financially and need a shared housing situation. Check our site to see who we are- you can write us there using our contact form or write me here at Care2.
