$30 billion: Annual shortfall to end world hunger. $550 billion: U.S. Defense budget
Here it is folks, any easy way ANYONE can help fight global poverty. All you have to do is pick up your phone, call your local senator's office, and say "Hi, I'm a Borgen Project support and I'd like to have the senator increase funding to end global poverty." That's it! Spending 30 seconds on the phone makes a HUGE difference because your local senator's office keeps a phone log so the more calls that are made the more attention an issue receives. Here is the contact information for any senator so start calling!
