| Name: | Mister Dermott |
| Type: | Memorial (for the deceased) |
| To Honor: | Pet(s) |
| Location: | , United States |
I am ever grateful I had the opportunity to meet and get to know a one in a million dog...don't get me wrong-EVERY dog and animal is precious in their own right, but there was just something about Mister Dermott that has no definition...no words to describe him. If you've never heard of Dermott-this is his most recent photo. I'll include his Guardian Angel tribute link-you can go to his "progress journal" and start from his beginning to learn his story...
I'm at a complete loss for words, and the tears? Well....I can only imagine how his mom Erin must feel, and his caregivers from Best Friends must feel.; for other than following his success on the internet, I only got to know him for 2 weeks. My Maggie doesn't like most dogs-she liked him...I guess she felt he wasn't a threat to her.
Dermie-I will always cherish the short time we spent together, and the kiss and nuzzles we shared in that short time.

This breaks my heart...
I wonder if she fed him Greenies... I read about a pit last week who collapsed dead during her walk. The necropsy showed there were parts of the Greenie that had blocked the intestines and caused bleeding. |

Dermott had food sensitivities and his food/treats were highly limited, and Greenies aren't on his list of allowable foods (they shouldn't be for ANY dog). The Er he was rushed to thinks it was a heart attack or an aneurism. Erin was so good of a mom that she ensured that even the ER, when she adopted Dermie-had his records ahead of time, in case they were ever needed..:( |

Hey Dermie~
Even tho this share was written after your passing, those of us affiliated in Best Friends are now more than convinced as to why you decided to leave your earthly body....you went to Heaven to speak up for Spencer. The timing of your passing, and his rescue, not to mention he is going to live his life AT Best Friends-is more than uncanny...I hope this somehow brings a small comfort to your mom Erin-you're a hero, dude!
THANK YOU, our dear beloved big-headed dog with the even bigger grin....you're forever in our hearts. |

I know how you must be feeling. I lost my two eldest Beagles within nine months of each other. So now, I believe, I have two guardian angels looking out for me. I'm sure Mr. Dermott is watching over you, even as I write. One of the things I said to myself, to help releive the grief was, "Pip and Gypsy are not really gone, I just can't see them anymore." I also believe that they and my third precious Beagle, Annie, will all be together again and waiting for me when It's my time to cross over The Rainbow Bridge. I wrote an eulogy for both of them, and although they were individualized I ended them both with the same prayer, "Good night sweet prince/princess and flights of angels send to thy rest." Be at the ready to hear Mr. Dermott's footsteps, or his tags, a brush against your leg, or feeling his presence in the room with you. Love that comes from the heart and soul never ends. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of someone who will live forever in your memories. |

Kathy, that was one of the most inspiring stories that I have ever read, and for you to say, so many nice things about Mister Dermott, in the short time that you knew him, was truly wonderful! Thank you!! |
