This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24
So many times we use this verse in a naturalistic sense to designate a particularly beautiful day or even a dismal sad day. We use it to mean that we are accepting of whatever the Lord gives us for any particular day in our life.
But when we read the entire chapter we find that David isn't referring to a natural day but to a spiritual one.
That thought is reflected again in II Corinthians 6:2 behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation
Let us rejoice in the Lord that this Day we have experienced the promised Salvation for which His people longed so many years.
Rejoice this day in your Salvation!
