Thank-you to all who have sendt me a Mother's Day greeting. Although I am not a real mom it is the thought that counts. I lost my Mother back in 1970 and I miss her everyday.

Patti-So sorry you are missing your mom-I get kind of blue too as my son doesn't keep in touch for various reasons. Last year my mom was placed against her will in a senior facility and she has total dementia so she is really gone. I don't even visit because the doctor said she will not know me. I tried to get her to move near me. It was an awful two years and then my uncle told her not to trust me. It was a living hell and I finally told the state I could no longer take any responsibilty for what happened to her. Talked for hours to social workers and the police. Now its over and I wish I could have the sane part of her back. Lets hope the rest of the year is better. hugs, steffi

Steffi, I get so angey at doctors! I work in an Adult Family Care Home and it is so sad when family member donen't come to see a Mother or Father. If you donen't live close to your Mom that I understand. But your Mother would know you are there. She might not know who you are but she would know that someone was there. Forget what that doctor said, go with your heart!
