What better way to start a journal then with a change? We are going to list our house on Friday. I tried the B&B thing and although I met some wonderful people, hauling my @ss out of bed at 6 a.m. just isn't my thing. This is a big house. It's a lot to heat and maintain for just three people and three dogs, although the dogs don't think so.
I lived almost my whole life in Oshawa ON and moved here to Colborne just shy of two years ago. Now I'm ready for another change. It has nothing to do with Colborne itself, I love this place and have learned many things, met wonderful friends, and explored a whole new side of myself since coming here. Colborne was a great move for me.
We are moving because the house is too big, the mortgage is too big, Paul has always wanted to be near water, I have always been drawn to the east, and with my mother's passing, I have no immediate holds here in Ontario. If I'm ever to make such a bold change, now is the time to do it.
My grandmother came from Monaghan County Ireland when she was just 16 years old to start a new life. She created a family of five children and eleven grandchildren. There are only two of her children left and ten of her grandchildren. We are greatly scattered but still within driving distance of each other. We keep in touch by email which can be done from anywhere in the world.
I fell in love with a place in Miramichi NB. I alway said that if I were to move from Southern Ontario it would be to County Monaghan Ireland. Well both financing and dogs prohibit that move. But as fate would have it, Miramichi's twin city happens to be Monaghan County Ireland. Fate or what????
So providing my house sells quickly and all the cards fall in the right order, I am hoping to move fairly soon. No, not providing - when my house sells. . . positive affirmations only!
