OIPA representatives

 

OIPA – the International Organization for Animal Protection, is an International Confederation of powerful, cohesive and proactive associations, numbering 170 in the world community. Founded in 1981 by Milly Shar Manzoli, OIPA is a Non Governmental Organization and since 1992, has been associated with the UN Department of Public Information.

The target objective of the Organization is the advancement of animal rights and the protection and defense of all animals, domestic, agricultural, captive and wild, from neglect, exploitation and the brutal mishandling by humans. OIPA also lobbies for global advancement from disease by the use of non animal laboratory experimental models. The Organization believes that a more humane and indeed a healthier global community can be achieved by the use of non violence in the laboratory. The battle to achieve humane rights for all animals is a complex, yet rewarding battle. OIPA is seeking international, dedicated, and passionate volunteers to progress its goals.

 

OIPA representatives are “volunteers”.  There is no salary provision.

 

Requirements:

Efficiently plan and actively promote OIPA activities (against vivisection, bullfighting, zoo etc) in his/her country, in compliance with the Association Charter . Initiate and promote projects and/or campaigns (national/international) assigned by the office of the president or by the international relations office.

 

The tools of our campaign are:

 

  • Information stands
  • Conferences
  • Demonstrations and protests
  • Internet publicity and letter writing campaigns
  • Must garner and nurture contact with the media
  • Contacts with International Doctors – LIMAV

 

Open and support a Delegation.

Write informative material (brochures, flyers etc) and update them; start a local news letter.

Open a web site to support OIPA headoffice www.oipa.org

Look for funds and donations to promote OIPA activities.

Cooperate with other Delegations.

 

 

OIPA branches work autonomously and each branch carries out the issues and more urgent battles dictated by local neds.

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of animal protection issues. Experience of working with animals is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the legislation and legal matters pertaining to the rights and welfare of animals.
  • Must be able to work alone or with others.
  • Excellent computer and typing skills, to include Microsoft Word and Excel. Superb organizational skills for reliable and timely fulfilment of multitask responsibilities.

 

We need reliable and self-motivated people who have excellent communication skills, passion, persistence and commitment.
