Kari Ann Cowan, Peltier's niece, reported tonight (Friday) from the
prison at Lewisburg, that Leonard may have suffered a heart attack.

"He had hard time breathing.  He was in his cell and had an ache
in his chest. He was kinda scared he was having a heart attack. He
raised his hands, breathed slowly and finally felt better."

We need to call the prison and ask them to get Leonard to the
hospital in Rochester (MN) as soon as possible for a check up.

Be polite and courteous and express your concern for his health
and welfare.
We gotta step up.

Make reference to Leonard Peltier #89637-132.

Call Warden Scott Dodrill at (570) 523-1251.

Fax numbers: (570) 522-7745 and (570) 522-7519

There is a group called the innocence project that will help Leonard. It is a nonprofit organization so it will not cost him anything. They will help him get out and till they can prove his innocence. And when he gets exonerated(Freed) he can sue them for all the time he spent in there. All you have to do to find it is type in the innocence project into Google or ask Kat cause I already gave her the website. I hope everything works out for leonard.

EARLY SUNDAY MORNING:

Medical Update

I just spoke to a relative of Leonards. He is thankful
for all the calls on his behalf and wants to be taken to the PRISON
Hospital Rochester . Not the Mayo clinic .

Leonard has sleep apthima and many times the guards wake him up
to ask if he is alright . He said when the guards woke him up in
the middle of the nite last nite to check on him he thought that
was what it was about .He said he still has chest discomfort and
a pain in his left arm.

He said again, he needs to get good test run, and thank you for
all of those who have called and ask for the calls to continue to
get him to the Prison Hospital in Rochester.

Any further updates will be passed alonng as they come out.

I am sending my Thoughts and Prayers of Healing to Leonard Peltier & his family at this harrowing time. I will send an email to Warden Dodrill requesting that Leonard be taken to Prison Hospital Rochester for a thorough check up to make sure he has a clean bill of health. May the Great Spirit watch over him. My Beautiful Cat Shadow is watching over him from Rainbows Bridge too, and my Earth Cat Tiggy Willow is sending healing paws.

The word is that Leonard has received the necessary tests and
is feeling much better. He hasn't suffered a heart attack, but
is under enormous stress. He sends his thanks to everyone who
called/e-mailed the prison.

This occurrence... Well, it is a reminder that Leonard is the one
living the nightmare--every single day.

Let's redouble our efforts on Leonard's behalf this week. Time for
everyone to move out of the living room and into the streets.
You can download and print a parole letter at www.FreePeltierNow.org.
Get everyone you know... oh, hey, even folks you don't know... to
sign a letter.

Remember that letters must arrive at the U.S. Parole Commission no
later than July 1.

Time to set him free... Because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

My blessings are with him. I just hung one of his pictures yesterday. Why don't they just let him be free. The only way to make change is how they are fighting for freedom in Iran. Courts here are useless and my anger just builds each day. May his family be strong.
