I just joined this group.I have recently moved to Moscow, and I understand Russian, but can't communicate well. Therefore i'll be taking some courses at MGU.
I would like to meet new friends, in order to speak better and move along faster. My aim is to find a good job in international companies,or domestic, but the only source I know is The Moscow Times, which isn't sufficient enough.Could anyone please tell me if there are agaencies who help in job hunts? Or is there any other way I can apply?
Thankyou
Hope to here from you all
cheers

It is hard to believe that it has been five years since I was in Moscow, living near the Arbat. Time flies so.
Often you will find job posts in kiosks and on market bulletin boards, but be careful; know the source to avoid danger. The MoscowOut website (www.moscowout.ru) is a good source of information on what is happening in Moscow and sometimes job offers appear there. Check also with your embassy or consulate; they often can direct you in the right and most safest directions. Good luck, and keep us informed of your adventures. Others may have similar circumstances. I hope to meet you at Mak Cafe near Smolenskaya Metro one day. :-) That is, if you are still in Moscow two years from now. :-)
