Urgent plea from Miwoks in California
From Miwoks in California:
 Anyone out there who has a HEART and knows what its like to be an Indian
who is used to being kicked around and continually ignored by the very
officials who are suppose to protect them... PLEASE make your voice heard
... HELP US!!! Show your support for our Tribe by contacting the government
officials and make them aware of our situation. If that doesn't work,
please forward this information to any and all news people who will take
the story.
 We are MIWOK people and we have no choice but to make this stand. Enough
has been taken from us. Since the local BIA and the California Gambling
Control Commission is illegally withholding our monies, we have lost our
jobs, and now our home (Tribal Property) to foreclosure. We have
continually contacted all officials for help and have again and again had
the door slammed in our face. Either they don't have time for us, don't
want to hear it, or just plain don't care!
 Today,June 17th, 2009, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's are threatening
to remove us by force. We have no funds and no where to go. Indymac Bank
won't return our calls, nor will their attorneys or representatives.
 We are asking you all to "please" contact officials in Washington DC and
tell them to quit playing games with our lives... they need to intervene
on our behalf, and they need to release our monies and stop allowing
outsiders to interfere into our Tribal Affairs... if they ignore you like
they do us, continue to forward our information to any and all news
channels, radio stations and news papers.
 Above all, pray that our ancestors watch over us for we are standing
strong to keep their memories alive. The local Bureau (Troy Burdick,
Superintendent of the Central California Agency) may think its funny about
what he is doing to our Tribe, and he may take away all material things
from us, but we are Miwok Indian in blood and he will never take that from
us.
 Its pretty sad when its another Indian causing such heart ache and
suffering, not only to our Tribe but others here in California too!!
 PLEASE.... DO WHAT YOU CAN... WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!! We know the
property here is lost but we need at least 45 days to relocate. We will
not leave without our Tribal Property (governmental documents, etc...)
