The Emergency Animal Rescue Service (TEARS) Needs Funds For Heartworm Treatment

TEARS, The Emergency Animal Rescue Service, is a not-for-profit Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals dedicated to the rescue of injured animals, the investigation of cruelty and the prosecution thereof. They are one of the few organizations in Central Alabama operating on a 24 hour a day, seven day a week basis. They are also one of the only organizations which extends help to ALL animals, including wildlife, reptiles and livestock and specializing in horses. Their incorporation allows them to function through out the state of Alabama.

They urgently need funds because at the present time, there are 15-20 dogs at TEARS who have been diagnosed with heartworm & need treatment. The cost to cure is approximately $350 to $600 (depending on the weight of the dog & choice of veterinarian).
