Please Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!
Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!
Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! One thing I’ve noticed while volunteering at my local ‘No-Kill’ shelters is, those cats love soft, cushy, sheepskin fleece pet beds!  They just curl up in them, and purr and purr and purr!

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! The other thing I’ve noticed is, there aren’t always enough clean cat beds to go around—and some of the cat beds on hand were mighty worn out, and not so fluffy.  Our local shelters’ great front-loading industrial washers and dryers do a wonderful job disinfecting used fabrics, but over time, the old beds suffered a bit of a pounding.  All the cat beds bought recently still look great, but the ones that are some years old were flattened and dismal.  They belonged in the dumpster!

This 7-year-old shelter cat loves to curl up in a fleece
bed on the top storey of her favorite cat tree.
The shelter staff nicknamed her “Ducky,” because her
short, explosive meow sounds like a quacking duck.

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! That’s why I’m collecting donations for Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!  I’ve bought them two myself, so far, but I need to buy the little guys cardboard scratching disks, too, as well as feathered cat teasers.  I can’t seem to put a dent in the need for fresh, new fleece beds!

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!Already, the wonderful members of Care2 have donated $125 to obtain 11 fleece faux sheepskin cat beds, and one deep-walled luxury cat bed with reversible mattress, to the grateful and deserving cats of our hard-working animal shelter!  All of the raggedy, flattened old beds have been thrown out, and our kitties are curled up in their warm, comfortable beds, dreaming of (in alphabetical order):

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!Just click the “Donate” button, and you can help provide soft, fleecy bliss to our purry little imps!  These beds are available here for $9.99 apiece, plus state sales tax, but I am seeking donations of any amount.  Any donations that add up to an odd amount, I will provide the necessary funds to complete the purchase.  (The product illustration is blue-colored, but I actually buy pink ones—it’s more of a cat color.)

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! These donations will go specifically to the two “No-Kill” shelters where I volunteer here in the National Capital region.  Serving mostly adult or senior cats, these nonprofit organizations have been saving animals for over 50 years.

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats!Alternatively, you can buy cat beds for your own local county, municipal, or nonprofit shelters (particularly if you want a tax deduction).

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! These snugglesome beds are available at numerous retail outlets—one example is the PetSmart item, which can be found at http://tinyurl.com/petsmart3088187.  To obtain a receipt for tax purposes, it would probably be best to deliver such items to the shelter in person; but if you don’t need the deduction, you could just as easily ship them directly to your favorite shelter, as a gift—and why not?

Donate Fluffy Fleece Beds for Shelter Cats! The kitties and I would be so grateful if you could give us a helping hand!  . . .  I’ll get back to you, to let you know how we did, and whether the thunderous kitty purrs have caused any structural damage.
