During the early 1960's, Robert C.W. Ettinger authored "The Prospect of Immortality" and ignited a completely new dimension to the term 'clinical death'!

He has said that death can only be defined in relative terms, and he points to the hundreds of persons revived after drowning, asphyxiation, electrocution and heart attacks.

"Biological death depends not only on the state of the body", Ettinger said, "But also on the state of medical art during any given time-period in history!"

Instead of being embalmed, a body should be kept under refrigeration to prevent deterioration --- so there is still a chance!

Death has been known to deceive even the finest doctors time after time!
