i have 1332 friends connections.

i have sent this petition http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/are-courts-caring-about-animal-neglect

out several times for signatures, and i can't believe that a week before i need to send this petition to the judge, that i don't have the signatures i need to make this statement!

is it ok with everyone that this woman has gotten away with abuse of many animals, and got to do it again to even a greater number of animals?... that the same judge in sept,( a local t.v. celebrity, that claims to be hard on abusers), is also the judge that let her go the first time??

are my friends that i am connected to even active, caring, or looking at this petition?

i work very hard and have been here a great deal on care2. i have donated, transported, pulled animals from pounds, signed petitions, and even been supportive to those that have lost pets. i worked and was involved with saving dogs out of pounds during hurricanes, and i have thousands of rescued dogs in my photo albums, along with assisted in katrina/rita animals in the swamps of lousiana at that time. i help my local pound, that is near to being a no kill facility since met the ACO here in silsbee texas. i host several groups, and which i can't seem to get people to join.

has care2 lost its pizzaz? has it lost its power? are the people getting numb to the work that is never ending, unless things change in this world. is the unity, the togetherness, the voices no longer there or heard anymore within care2. has the fighters left to be else where?

i wonder of the signatures. as i don't put petitions out very often..i wonder if there is anyone out there to stand with me in the fight for the animals. if the voices we had are silent now, and ineffective.

this petition is a great disappointment to me, and what i believed very important to the laws for animals, an example of justice not served the first time around, and wanted to be heard to voice my objections and see that justice was served this time around. but i can't do these things along, and all myself. my own voice is not loud enough with the shouting of others with me!

if i am of little affect here, and have lost my friends that may be else where, perhaps i need to go find the strong, the hard, the willing again.

sigh...and feeling a bit alone these days for the many friends i have been connected, i can't seem to find that many to hear my tiny voice of concerns and causes that are important to me?

tell me what i have done wrong, or could do better that will help raise the sounds and make a difference here on care2? tell me why my friends have not noticed this, that i am connected too? why i am struggling with all i have to meet this deadline for this petition and can't seem to do it?

please sign..if you have heard me at all??? this is my last request for this help. thank you.

Hi, Kindle!
I understand you completely.
I have already thought sometimes I have put the expectatives of Care2 maybe too higher.

I have signed on 3 rd og August and have crossposted out Care as well as submitted a news about the petition~

http://www.care2.com/news/member/901922468/1211536

It onlu got 22 notes. If it has got 38 it would be gone to the front page and would be more visible to more people.

I `m going to crosspost again ( I could submitted this page to the Care 2 News , but I have given up to submitt more news, for some reasons.)

I will send it to some groups on Yahoo, and Facebook.
Thank you for all you do for the our friends animals,

thank you christina, for some reason the action people aren't here, or i am limited to action people on my contacts list. this petition is important. but to let such things just slide is a example that courts can just let animal abusers go sometimes, and no one will notice. something i want to stop from happening. sigh...

Petition commented and signed. I am not connected to you Kindle but I know what you mean. I do my best signing numerous petitions, I forward, I donate, I write, I take action where possible, also in my own country and neighbourhood. But often the response is very pitiful. Thank you so much Kindle and Cristina for your time and effort, it is very much appreciated. I agree for 100% on the subject, the legal system is a joke, the punishment for animal torture/abuse/neglect is a joke. It is just not taken seriously. You are not alone. Your voice is not silent Kindle, I HEAR YOU loud and clear, I stand with you, alongside you, behind you.

I think I signed when Cristina did a news story.

Kindle, I hear what you are saying and I understand how heart breaking this is.

Being an activist for animal is hard enough with all the barriers you come across with stupid decision makers and then having to rely on people for support is difficult because people have proven to be unreliable. The movement is not united enough or we would have a louder voice. At this point in time we are scattered.

PETA has over one million members but when it comes to the campaigns PETA cannot get one million signatures per petition. You have over 1,000 friends but you couldn't get all to sign, same thing. Sad but true but we cannot give up.

Maybe you can clear something up for me to do with C2 shares. How are these shares exposed? They do not go to your friends emails, so where can they be seen by your friends and their friends as shares are suppose to be networked? If you can explain this to me I would appreciate it.

I'll forward this on to my friends, and I just hope you get the signatures because this is an important issue. Animal cruelty is not taken seriously in your country or mine. I know part of the reason why but maybe next time I'll go into it.

I’m trying to figure out how she managed to get away with this the second time without stronger consequences. Due to this being her 3 offence it just tells me our Government is to easy going when it comes to animal abuse. I would like to say to this looser of a human being, and Eye for an Eye!!!!!!!!!!!
Obvious the Courts are way to lenient on cruelty towards our animals! It shows that if an individual can be arrested 3 times for the same crime. Justice in the house system is not working!!!!

Hi, Kindle. I signed the petition some time ago and I understand your feelings. You are wonderful! don't blame yourself... I have experienced the same thing in different places and circumstances. Some people are not so committed, don't have enough time or are facing personal problems... on the other hand, many care2 members devote a lot of time for different causes, and I've been just reading their messages of support!

Hugs!!!

This judge is really being derelict in his duty, and STUPID! Even if he doesn't give a flying fig about the abuse of animals - as he obviously doesn't - how can he fail to realise that vile people like this are a danger to the community as a whole, not just animals.
I understand and sympathise with your frustration, Kindle - unfortunately there are so many actions and petitions that it becomes overwhelming, and more so when we are flooded with so many useless and downright inept petitions which waste so much time!

going to try and leave this petition a little longer and over night it to the judge at the last possible minute, even if its just a few more signatures (will just except what i get, and that i did my best on it). as the time is running down. i sure appreciate you all for helping me. this one has been a rough one to take responsiblity for. i think i do better at signing, then designing.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HELPING ME

the reason i didn't sign, and maybe the same for others, is that i think hoarders need help, not criminalization. these people are not the same as true animal abusers. they take in animals because they want to save them. then, they become overwhelmed and stop thinking clearly. it is sad and horrible, but not criminal. i blame pet food companies, vets, and non-profits who don't offer individual rescuers resources.

response to Catherine Turley.
perhaps cynthia is a hoarder with mental issues. but then the courts didn't do anything about that either,by an order any counseling for this woman either. what the complaint is mostly whether it be incarceration/fines, or mental health assistances. is the courts just let it go, and allowed a REPEAT. where later and by the same person, other animals had to saved from PAIN/MISERY/DEATH. either way....the courts and this judge did not take the situation serious enough.
now if one does not sign petition cause of sympathy to hoarders...then is it ok for hoarders to repeat their behavior?
as the quote goes and has been heard/read by many:
"to do nothing is more sinful then to act and be wrong/or errored."

but if one is concerned about the mental health of cynthia, then perhaps such a person can also do a petition for the care and concern of the mentally needy in this regard to animal welfare, or not sign this petition and write a letter to that issue of concern.

but doing nothing at all about it, one way or the other??? kind of like this judge did?? i would think??

Hello Kindle,

I am signee #80 and just came across your Aug.24th post; thought of sharing my disappointment of those "millions" of Care2 members.

I often wonder whether Care2 has really got millions of members and if so, what their primary aim for joining is? I guess that most see Care2 as another social site where they can accumulate a long list of "friends" and stars. I noticed that many, who post endlessly or share news daily, do not sign the petitions they themselves have forwarded. I also notice that quite a number of true activists are inactive on Care2 or have left altogether and am afraid they've surrendered to disappointment as well.

I too feel quite sad, sometimes tired and futile but am still hoping, still praying - thanks to a few great activists-caring friends.

Blessings and heartfelt wishes to you,
Sa
