Our Shiloh went to the Rainbow Bridge

My name is Shiloh. I was picked up last week from a kill shelter. I was not feeling well there but my new rescue hoomom thought she could make me feel all better by taking me home. If she had not I would have been at the bridge on Monday morning. I was taken home and loved, cared for, I had food in my tummy and more love than anyone could ask for. I know my new Hoomom's hearts are breaking because I got so sick there was nothing else they could do. Hoomom Zerina called our Angel Charly at 1 am this morning to ask her for help because they wanted $500 to save me and well with all the expenses they just did not have the money. I know they tried. They tried hard to keep me alive and I fought. But the vet still didn't know what was wrong or how to treat it, so my hoomom Zerina had to make the hardest decision in the world. She told them it was ok to let me go to sleep. They brought me back to her, and she held me. She told me that I fought hard and she knew I fought hard, but now it was ok to stop fighting. I needed to go to sleep and rest, and when I woke up I would be in the most beautiful place with lots of other puppies to love and play with. That someday we would all be together and not to wait for her at the gate but to play until she got there. So I'm playing and having a good time til that someday comes around. But now I'm waiting.

IF IT SHOULD BE

If it should be that I grow weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
