I was contacted by phone this morning by the Producer of a new show set to air on the Discovery Channel next year.  The program is called “PRISON WIVES”, are looking for wives AND husbands of incarcerated people to do their shows about.
 
I think this is a wonderful opportunity to get all of the prison issues addressed by the people most intimately affected by them, and I am so excited that they are undertaking this particular program.

Linda had a brother who suffered and died in prison.  She has been a dedicated prisoner rights activist for years, but is no longer as active in that advocacy as she used to be due to the stress of that activism.  I will always be grateful to Linda because somehow her email to me got through the cloak of censorship at the email box associated with my website, and she put Larry's story on the prisoners' genocide website.  In all the years since I posted that website, only three emails came to that email box as a result of the Wrongful Death of Larry Neal website, where the email box is listed at the CONTACT US tab.  Larry is no. 26 on the home page:   http://www.geocities.com/prisonmurder/ 

Hundreds of people signed our petition requesting the USDOJ to investigate Larry's secret arrest and death in Memphis Shelby Co. Jail and completed the survey to determine whether or not mentally ill people should be imprisoned or treated.  Most who took the survey gave their email addresses to be kept abreast of the case.  But they probably got the same message that friends and I did when we tried to email my address from the website - a mail daemon.  Larry's Guantanamo-style jail death is the biggest non-secret in America, and nothing is spared when it comes to the cover-up, even terrorism against his family to keep us from disclosing the injustice against Larry and the Cochran Firm fraud against his family that followed his demise. 

I hope the television opportunity helps authorities to see how families suffer from the imprisonment of the men of the family and that some who are behind bars for non-violent offenses will get early release to relieve the budget and reduce their families' stress.  I expect the television show to also help publish the importance of inmate rehabilitation and expungement of criminal records.  Both of those would help reduce recidivism and enable those exiting prisons to provide for their families legally.
