Maria Davidson has been sending a form letter to everyone about Tony. Here it is: The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries appreciates your interest in the well being of the Tiger, but now that the truck stop has a local permit we have begun the process for a state application. It is our Department policy not to comment on pending applications, but we will always consider the well being of the cat to be our top priority. Again, thank you for your concern, Maria Davidson
Now, we know her boss's name, phone number, and email address:
"My supervisor is Fred Kimmel. You are welcome to give him a call. His office number is 225-765-2355. "
You can also email him at: fkimmel@wlf.la.gov
So let's call him. Remember to bring up important legal issues, such as: >is Tony microchipped? >the fence is NOT five feet from the cage >Yogi and Friends facility was written up by Davidson for not having 15' high fences. TigerTruckstop's fence is 8' high. >since they claim the well being of the cat is their top priority, are they planning on sending a wildife expert, such as a certified zookeeper, and a veterinarian, to look him over? >will they consider the exposed electrical wires as a chewing hazard?
AND let us start asking sandlin's fuel supplier if they really want all of this bad publicity to be under their signs:

special thanks to katie ronan for finding out this stuff and many other useful things lately. she is on top of it!

Thanks for the thanks and acknowledgment James! I am thinking the only way to get Tony out of this is for a serious media investigation to be done. Finding skeletons of underhanded dealings...i.e. padded bank accounts etc. Any word from CNN? Or any other leads for stories??
Thursday September 10, 2009, 9:44 am
Well, I just poured my heart out to Fred and said things I hope might affect his thought process. I sincerely appreciate that he listened to my rant, and I told him so, thanking him for being in a position I personally would not be able to handle.
I suggested he view Big Cat Rescue's site and YouTube videos to see HOW a wild animals should be contained, with lush grasses and water to play in. I reminded him that they have offered to take Tony numerous times.
I covered the points mentioned James, plus I told him they're looking for a female on the truckstop website.
Also sent another email to the Gov'nor with references to Big Cat Rescue, and the SaveTony and FreeTony blogs.

A sincere thank you to everyone for being so persistent and dedicated to Tony. I re-posted this info on my tiger news sites, as well as my facebook groups, etc. I will follow up with making my voice be heard to these new contacts. For Tony & The Tiger...Dee

I feel for Tony. He reminds me of Pepe the sledge dog that we fought for to be released from his cage and then he died. He had no freedom.
I have forwarded all the above information to all my friends on Care 2 & other Animal Welfare sites.
I mentioned all the points raised:
* Maria Davidson's Form Letter
* Details of her Boss Fred Kimmel
* Sandlin's Fuel Supplier
* Address, phone number & fax of Governor Bobby
Jindal
* Address, phone number & email of Mayor
Michael Chauffe
* Postcard Idea sent to residents of Grosse Tete
I will also be sending the letter I sent to Maria Davidson to her boss Fred Kimmel.
I will also be sending the letter to Governor-Bobby Jindal and Mayor Michael Chauffe.
As I have said before when I sent letters to The Iberville Parish Councillors, I will keep fighting for Tony & I will keep sending out letters, crossposting to other Animal Welfare Sites & Animal Activists & researching into new ideas to Save Tony from his life of hell.
