Album: Kittens Need Homes

We found two kittens by the road in front of our house.  They were starving and had colds.  Then I found an itty bitty orange male the next day in the barn.  I looked again the next day and found the rest of the litter in the barn, a total of 7 kittens.  We trapped the Mama in a have a heart trap that night.

Five kittens need homes. One female black w/orange and white splotchy very cute face.  Four orange males.  We are not sure if there was more than one litter since the first two we found by the road were much bigger than the others one of which is the only other female and looks just like the Mama in color.  We are keeping her and the tiniest of the litter.  Roo and Pipsqueak.  Our daughter was oringnally going to take two but just adopted two cats who needed homes up in Iowa where she lives.

We have not decided what to do with the Mama. She is still quite skiddish so it will take a long time for her to adjust to being around us.  She and our dog touched noses so she is not afraid of her.

I took Kanga and Pipsqueak to the vet and got antibiotics for all of the kittens, wormer and flea treatment.  They are responding well to the antibiotics. I will start them on the wormer in a day or two because I wanted to make sure they were not sick when I gave that and the flea treatment to them.  I have to speak to the vet again because Mama needs medication but I need a way to give it in her food.  I doubt we could get her in that cage again right now and she would probably never trust us again if we did.

The kittens are eating now and very playful.  I made a little playhouse out of some boxes for them to play in and they love it.  They are doing well with litter training. Very few accidents so far. Been using Pro Pet clumping pine litter.  Any coupons for food and litter are also welcome.

I finally have a Pay Pal account set up for those who have offered to send donations to help with expenses until they are adopted. Please send payments through paypal.com  to loopymumm@hotmail.com

If anyone does not want to use Pay Pal then contact me at the above email address and I will give you my snail mail address.

Big hugs and thank yous to all you who are helping me with this and all the prayers sent.

Hi Launi,
You're an angel! I can't do much to help (especially living in Australia) but I'll add this share to some groups. Good luck!
Hugs (& Purrs from Muffin and Bobby),

Took Kanga and the tiniest of the litter to the vet today couldn't afford to take them all to be checked. Got antibiotics for all of them and wormer and flea treatment. My husband had to help me because my back has been hurting awful, can hardly bend over. Lousy time for my disc problem to flare up.
Have to mix Mama's antibiotics and wormer in her food since she won't let us near her still. The only break the vet ave me was not charging for two animals for the office visit.
