Confessions of a Drug Pusher —

Trick or Treat Healthcare Bill

Why the Halloween Healthcare Bill will look more like the scariest Jack-O-Lantern you’ve ever seen.

By Tom Braun, RPh.

Obama’s vision for improving Healthcare in the US, has been surgically carved up by the Healthcare Lobbyists (6 for each Congressman) into the scariest ineffective bill that will ever be passed under the disguise of improving healthcare.

In reality, Congress can never fix healthcare as long as our elected Congressional members vote for their personal pocket books rather than the health of the American citizens.

The only true answer is a health aware public that avoids the healthcare pitfalls that result in disease. It’s all about having an educated health conscious public. It starts with personal hygiene and eating nutritionally good food devoid of chemicals and cheap ingredients such as liquid corn syrup and unsaturated fats. We can’t wait for the Department of Agriculture to change their food policies to achieve this. They are just as politically corrupt as the FDA and our congressional leaders. In addition, physical fitness has to be a life long activity.

On Sunday, Oct 11th, the New York Times reported the following:

“As the health care debate moves to the floor of Congress, most of the serious proposals to fulfill President Obama’s original vow to curb costs have fallen victim to organized interests and parochial politics.”

The change from the top down approach will never be effective. It has to be a grass roots movement to avoid unhealthy life styles. Only an educated public which demands quality food products, rejects living in an environmentally toxic state and stays physically active will create the changes in our food supply and our environment so all of us enjoy a healthy disease free life.

There are many educated healthcare professionals that are helping move us towards this goal of an educated public. A new site that I have found is called: www.grassrootshealth.net They are educating the public about the negative impact of not having sufficient Vitamin D in your body.
It will be worth your time to view their video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQ-qekFoi-o

President Obama is getting a hard lesson taught to him how Washington really works. Unfortunately, we will all be the beneficiaries of this Halloween Trick that does nothing to truly improve delivery of healthcare to the American public in a more efficient and cost effective manner.

Only the Medical Lobbyist will get the treat.
