My name is Natalie Kraft. I am an avid member of Care2 --though I do apologize for my absence from the groups as of late. Part of the reason for this is that I am also a hard working student of Psychology and Holistic Health and Wellness. For the Psych portion of this academic training, my class partner and I are conducting a research study, the details of which are below. We are seeking volunteers whom are 18 years of age or older. All are welcome to take part but we are especially looking for people who had some sort of alternative schooling experiences-- including but not limited to home-schooling, charter-schooling, “un-schooling” etc.
This study will examine participants’ thinking and problem solving style/ability in correlation with the type of schooling they experienced growing up. This will take no more than 35 minutes. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to identify what type of schooling you received, during different stages of life, through a multiple choice questionnaire. You will then be asked to complete two brief personality measures and a verbal problem solving task.
We would greatly appreciate your help in this matter as we have a very limited amount of time to collect this data--less than a semester-- and need a certain amount of people for our alternative school group, which are much harder to come by. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
