Today I stood on the busiest corner of my town with a wooden cross that says, "Are You Ready?" on it. I stood there for approximately forty-five minutes as people drove past me in their cars. Some looked at me. Some made sure not to look at me. Some looked away as soon as I made eye contact with them. Some nodded their heads in affirmation and encouragement. Some scowled and looked at me like I was insane.

Some of the people that drove by me did double-takes. Others about broke their necks as they turned to look as they drove around the corner. Some made a block and drove back by just to see if what they were seeing was really real. Some even smiled and waved. And as they drove past me with their various responses ... all I could do was sing under my breath to the Lord and pray that all who saw the cross would be touched by the Holy Spirit and that they would look deep inside of themselves and answer the question ...

Are You Ready?

Because I want them to know. I want them to think about that.

So, I stood on a corner and probably looked like a fool to many ... but that is okay. It was worth it and I will do it again. Soon ... the Lord willing.

Because as the man said, who stopped at the light, "Be proud of what you are doing, young lady. You won't get to do it too much longer!"
