My Halloween Eye

This is the bottom of the pumpkin with the stalk making the optic nerve coming out of the back of the eyeball-pumpkin. The pumpkin basically rested on it's top and step pointing the bottom end up which made a nice pupil.

A trick that I figured out later was to peel the skin off the pumpkin and let the exposed flesh dry overnight. Then take a paring knife and incise thin veins. The dry outer surface will pull the veins open a bit and the light comes through really nicely.
