Stunning wildlife images by Roger Hooper highlights plight of endangered animals...
You have to have nerves of steel to stay still as a tiger hurtles towards you
Roger Hooper said: 'If we do not take care of these wonderful animals the only place you will be able to see them is in sanctuaries and that would be very, very sad.' The exhibition 'Keep the World Wild' is supported by the World Wildlife Find. It opens at Hoopers Gallery on December 4th and runs until January 22nd. Admission is free.
WWF hopes to inspire support for many of its most vital projects to safeguard the natural world and some of its iconic species.
There are between 20,000 and 25,000 polar bears living in the wild, but their future looks uncertain as rising sea temperatures affect their home in the Arctic.
The cheetah is the world's fastest land mammal. There are only between 10,000 and 15,000 of these cats left in the world.
Asian elephants live in small, isolated pockets, while the status of African elephants varies greatly across the continent. Loss of habitat and poaching are still major concerns according to the WWF.
The Exhibition runs from 4 December 2009 to 22 January 2010 at Hoopers Gallery in London.

Humans spent centuries
conspiring to fly, so it
might be hard to imagine
that any creature would
give up the skill, and
yet penguins waddle among
us. A new study helps
confirm that these
seabirds traded flight to
become better swimmers.
