Endangered wildlife

Stunning wildlife images by Roger Hooper highlights plight of endangered animals...

You have to have nerves of steel to stay still as a tiger hurtles towards you. Roger Hooper did just that to capture this picture of a tiger at a wildlife sanctuary in Canada.

Roger Hooper is a famed wildlife photographer and is holding an exhibition at his gallery in central London to raise awareness of endangered animals.

Roger travelled to Zambia, India, Kenya and the Arctic to take the pictures over a four-year period.

Roger Hooper said: 'If we do not take care of these wonderful animals the only place you will be able to see them is in sanctuaries and that would be very, very sad.' The exhibition 'Keep the World Wild' is supported by the World Wildlife Find. It opens at Hoopers Gallery on December 4th and runs until January 22nd. Admission is free.

Asian elephants live in small, isolated pockets, while the status of African elephants varies greatly across the continent. Loss of habitat and poaching are still major concerns according to the WWF.
