“Miner Joe” by Elizabeth Olds (1896-1991) 1939 Lithograph, Collection: Illinois State Museum
It is our task in our time and in our generation to hand down undiminished to those who come after us, as was handed down to us by those who went before, the natural wealth and beauty which is ours."

The Canyon Land Conservation Fund brings you this exclusive film showing in its full length; an un-edited version in its ONLY OC film showing. This showing has the complete endorsements of the film makers: Evening Star Productions, Coal River Mountain Watch, the Beyond Coal Movement and our good friend Judy Bonds.
What can be said about Ms. Judy Bonds who in our opinion is one of the most dynamic activist of our time. She has won numerous awards-including the prestigious Goldman Foundation Award for environmental activism and has spoken before the UN General Assembly (on multiple meetings). She has spoken to our US Congressional Leadership, her State Elective Leadership, her Governor, her Mayor all the local elected officials-or anyone who will listen to her plea, no her cry, regarding Mountain Top Removal, Climate Change, Alterative Energy Solutions and our responsibilities for Creation and it’s Care. This cry is an all out attempt to stop the desecration of the only true North American Rain Forest-Appalachia. CLCF applauds our Friend Judy in her activism and believe this issue needs all of our attention.
Currently 44% of the SOCAL electrical demand is provided by the burning of Coal. The Kings of Coal no longer reside in the historic coal fields of West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee or Ohio; these multi-national corporations stretch their operations far into the Rocky Mountain States: Colorado, Utah, Nevada and Northern California. By most scientific resolve the burning of coal is the dirtiest; planet killing energy production man has created to date. Mountain Top Removal is the obscene, tax supported removal of complete mountain tops in the LAZIEST WAY to achieve energy production and profit its investors since hydraulic gold mining in Northern California.
Mountain Top Removal is not MINING it is butchery; just follow some of these web sites to review this savage Barbary:

"Dr. King didn't get famous giving a speech that said,"I have a complaint." It's time for us to start dreaming again and invite the country to dream with us. We don’t have any "throw away" species, nations, or children. We must birth a global green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty." Van Jones, ex-environmental advisor to President Obama
