Loetje, our 18 year old (blind and deaf, but extremely content) sealpoint siamese. Still a beauty!!
I grew up with them, I even suspect it is in this family's genes, it started with my grandparents and as a girl we had a havana brown.
This photo pictures her on her new throne.

I love your Loetje! She's so beautiful and looking at her makes me miss Reuben so much. He was the same, deaf and nearly blind but he loved being around his mom and slept in my bed next to me virtually every single night of his long life. He brought me so much joy. Siamese cats are so special! There is something different about them from any other kitties. Reuben never killed a living thing, ever, and he didn't like spiders and other creepy things that ran over his feet! LOL! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos of Loetje Hester! Give her 'knuffels' from me too and a kiss on her beautiful dark brown nose!

Your Loetje is so beautiful - she reminds me of my elder sister's Siamese: Pao, (meant to mean something like 'precious jewel') - she was a marvel too, loved all humanity, adored children, and was a holy terror to all other forms of life - she was particularly fond of catching and killing rats and putting them under the beds of small children, as I was at the time - eek!! We didn't need a side gate to our garden as she chased dogs out - and so amazing was the force of her personality and the reach of her paws that 15 years after her death, when a huge tomcat used to bullying people as well as cats saw a new little Siamese kitten in our house - he saw her, thought of Pao, and turned tail and ran - I saw it myself - there was nothing else that can have caused it.

I chiefly remember her though for her loving nature, and her kindness, her purrs and the joy she spread - just like your Loetje.

Thank you for such a lovely picture.

What a sweet and precious gift your little girl is. After 18 years, my little one can still see but wants mostly to sit beside me and be my comfort. She knows if I am unhappy and will sit and pat me until I laugh and let go of whatever is bothering me. How can I be unhappy with her to guard my moods? I am glad you have the comfort of your beautiful Loetje.

Loetje is such a beautiful girl! She looks a lot like my rescue, Garnet. My whole life we have had atleast one Siamese, if not two. Same with my Mom.

Beautiful girl! I love Siamese and always had 1. Also, had a Balinese. They all passed now, but I miss them all. Hope to have another one some day.
