I have found myself in a difficult situation each Easter for many years now; hence, the photo you are looking at--maybe it is "insanity of a sort"...I have loved God as long as I can remember; nobody told me about Him when I was little--no sooner did I arrive here in America when I was 5yrs old that my father was diagnosed with inoperable cancer of the stomach and I watched him slowly die for 3 years--when  I was 8, he did...however, there was a little church very near where we lived and I just found myself walking over there, sitting in the pew and knowing that God had me in His arms, giving me His love and strength as I watched my dad die so many long days.  When the evangelist, the Rev. Billy Graham was on the tv, I loved to watch him; when the people went up to be saved, tears flowed down my face almost mother started to take me to church, and invariably, when I started to sing songs of praise to God, the tears started again--Good Friday was always hard to bear because Jesus had been nailed to the cross and Easter a glorious day because He had risen...when I turned 24yrs old, I started to read all about the far eastern religions, faiths, all the different ways of loving God..Jesus was not in there in some of them--I know that so many souls have their own way of how they view God and some are very dogmatic about it; it is their way, and no other--I could not believe that God would turn away their love if they did not believe in Jesus---There have been many "Avatars" that have loved God with all their hearts and tried to lead others by their way of words they wrote and how they lived their lives; Yogananda, Sai Baba, Vivekananda, Oshi, etc., they did not believe in Jesus as their personal savior but a great soul and another "Avatar"...but, still, Jesus continues to tug at my heart each Easter, especially...

I completely agree. Even though I feel blessed by 'choosing' Jesus as my Lord, I don't believe that He said that no one would enter the Kingdom of God, except through Him. I believe in my heart & soul that that was an addition made by man, to increase the Christian population, through fear. Religion and politics went hand-in-hand, then. The more followers meant more power and more wealth for the Hierarchy. Yes, my friend, there are many roads to God...He built them Himself!

I agree, there must be many roads to God.For so many of us are traveling on different roads. He had to make many routes to include our various journeys. However I believe all roads lead HOME.It's just a matter of which way one chooses to navigate the path to HOME.

This is great writing Juta. It comes direct from your soul; thus it is not really what your mind is telling you to write, it is your inner self that is writing all this feeling, the inner doors of your heart allowing your spirituality to find its value.
Many times spirituality [whatever the religion is] is questioned, put aside, ignored or tried to be removed from our instincts. But the bare truth remains that our souls takes its nourish from the spirituality in our lives and whether we accept it or not, it is present. It is this spirituality that keeps us going in difficult pathways, lifestyles, disasters and why not? happiness! Maybe everyone has tried crying him/herself to sleep sometime or another in his/her life; did anyone ever question: what is it that gives us rest? A simply answer to such a difficult question.... it is the hug, the love, the respect of our spiritual belief that donates, keeps close, rescues us from all evil that life itself if capable of showing us.
Even though the bad happenings in our lives seems to be too much, in reality it is these experiences that root deep down in our soul the meaning, the maturity of who we are today; without this spiritual guidance I very much doubt that we may move a small pace ahead.
This is the meaning of Easter after all; each year it is new beginning, the risen effort of a new experience, the root of something new to happen, whether good or bad, it will still remain an experience that would have embedded in us courage, respect, the guts to keep on climbing the mountain of life.
Thanks for sharing this Juta; it automatically becomes part of our life too.
