Poem The Daffodil

THE DAFFODIL

 

The daffodil orchestrated her long lineal lines

In a gracious luminous green grass

Flowing to the different entwining notes

Perfectly flowering and flowing

Harmonic rhythms breathing around

 

Dancing around the trees

Captivating stone, cliff and sand

Coming back to the rhythms breathing around

High and low strong and calm

Sprinkling life back into each other

 

Long after the walk home

No matter where you are

That’s the wind the daffodil sings

To the long lineal lines of the luminous grass

Move you from within

 

All of a sudden if you stop to hear

The wonderful song
