The photo you see is Jenny. She was once a Hawthorn Elephant. She became crippled when Hawthorn locked her in a room with a very frustrated bull elephant for several months. He was so frustrated from captivity, he beat on Jenny's leg every day and her injuries went untreated with pain killers. This is how she looked when she arrived at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee (TES ).

Tyke and Lota were also Hawthorn Elephants. ( Rest In Peace Beautiful Girls)

This 10-minute home movie (available as video or DVD) captures Tarra (during her painting phase) as she creates paintings from the first brush stroke to her signature. Yes, she signs her creations with the flare and focus of a true artist. Although Tarra gave up painting when her Sanctuary family began to grow, we know you will enjoy watching this archived footage of her in during her painting days. Both the DVD and video include extra bonus video of Tarra Talking & Playing in the habitat, and Tarra spending time with her favorite dog, Bella.

Well done for highlighting the cruelty that Jenny suffered! The poor thing had a horrific time but at least she is in as good a place as any captive elephant in the world can be. Thank God for TES.
