Petition -- National Day of Recognition For Parents of Special Needs Children

For a few years, I had the opportunity to work as an aide on the Special Needs school bus for my school district. Everyday I witnessed first-hand the incredible love and devotion the parents of Special Needs Children bestowed on their children. One day after a child with Downs Syndrome jumped off the bus into the arms of her mother, it dawned on me just how special these parents are. And in that moment, I thought there should be a National Day of Recognition For Parents of Special Needs Children.

If you are supportive of a National Day of Recognition For Parents of Special Needs Children, please ask your congressional representative to contact Congressman Mike Turner and to join with him in co-sponsoring this legislation. Your help would be greatly appreciated by signing the petition on Care2.
