PETA's investigators caught despicable acts of cruelty to animals on a hidden camera. What happens to these birds?and to all birds who are processed in such plants?would horrify even the most die-hard meat-eaters."

Also, I would encourage all folks who buy eggs to buy only cage free eggs.

Egg laying hens who are caged have no more space than can be outlined by a single piece of paper. Because cages are more expensive than the chickens themselves, egg producers cram as many hens as they can into one cage.

If you have school age children, you may request that your children's schools only buy cage-free eggs. The HSUS website has great materials on this, and will support you through the process.

College kids can do the same!
